The Erbprinz-Infanterie von Hesse-Darmstadt was a foreign line infantry regiment within the Quatrième Corps of the French Empire. It was formed from the flesh of the Leib-Infantrie von Hesse-Darmstadt and served as a sister regiment. The regiment's commanding officer was Frenzy. The regiment participated in the Napoleonic Wars, particularly during the Peninsular War in Spain and Portugal from 1808 to 1812. It was initially formed as two Land-Bataillone in 1791 and expanded to three battalions in 1803.
